PETRA PASTOROVÁ IS A FIVE-TIME MARATHON CHAMPION OF THE CZECH REPUBLIC

I won the Prague Marathon in 2:42:33. It is my overall 5th title of Czech marathon champion, which I managed to defend for the third time in a row now, and thus complete this unique hat-trick!
Tento rok se mi na rozdíl od toho minulého, kdy jsem bojovala s křečemi, běželo velmi dobře. Moc se mi líbila i atmosféra a povzbuzování fanoušků, které mě hnalo vpřed. Letos se navíc objevila na maratonu také jedna novinka, kterou jsem si moc pochvalovala. Organizátoři totiž nově zavedli cyklistu pro prvního českého běžce i běžkyni.
This year, I did very well compared to the last one when I had to fight cramps. I really liked the atmosphere and the cheering of the fans that pushed me forward. In addition, this year's marathon also featured one novelty that I really appreciated. The organizers have newly introduced a cyclist for the first Czech male and female runner.
On the other hand, I was literally shaken by the ignorance of Czech Television and the lack of interest in Czech women both in live broadcast and in the subsequent news. Czech TV did not notice at all and did not reflect the fact that it was the Czech Republic Women's Marathon Championships as well. As I have experienced this repeatedly, I would also like to draw some attention to the discrimination against women.
