ANY BRYCHTOVÁ IS THE CZECH CHAMPION IN THE WINTER TRIATHLON!

I am the 2019 winter triathlon champion of the Czech Republic! It sounds unbelievable when I say it out loud, but it's a fact.
After a 30-hour shift at an internal medicine ward (unfortunately, one of the worst – only 2 hours’ sleep) I stood at the starting line of the Jeseníky Winter Triathlon race which is also considered the Czech Republic Championships. I was deadly tired, but I could not miss the championships. And so there I was at the starting line.
I enjoyed the cycling part. When I switched, however, to cross-country skis, and started to feel tired and really suffered through the whole 8 km. It seemed like the long hours of cross-country skiing training had never really happened; I couldn't assume the proper position and get into the correct skiing technique...I am glad that I was not able to see myself. Unfortunately, I lost contact with the Slovak racer ahead of me.
The final run up to Mount Praděd was a reward for me. I had a sufficient lead over the racer behind me and so I finished second behind the Slovak racer who I had not been able to keep pace with this time. It was a perfect first place, though, among the Czech athletes.
